BACK IN 2013, THE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, SYDNEY (UTS) CELEBRATED ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY AS A UNIVERSITY.
By way of marking and promoting the milestone, all students received a commemorative bag, diary and wall calendar during Orientation Week.
A typographic identity using a bold weight of the University’s official font – DIN – was created by overlaying the years 1988-2013. The result is a mark which is clean, yet has the illusion of depth and movement, thereby subtly conveying a sense of time changing in the one place.
By way of contrast, it was screen-printed in two colours (white and teal) onto both the thick kraft card of the diary covers and the rough hessian material of the bags.
